International day of hunger strike in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners

The European Network for the defense of Palestinian prisoners (UFree) has declared its support for and participation in the international day of hunger strike in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners in Israeli occupation jails.

UFree called in a statement on Sunday for global support for Palestinian hunger striker Samer Al-Issawi and other prisoners on hunger strike in their just struggle for freedom.

It also called for an end to the Israeli arbitrary policy of administrative detention.

The international solidarity day would witness a 24 hours hunger strike in addition to protest rallies in Washington and a number of European capitals, the statement said.

It said that messages explaining the conditions of Palestinian prisoners and Israeli violations against them would be addressed to international organizations, political figures, and decision-makers in the USA and Europe.

UFree called for wide participation in the international day that is backed by six other human rights groups.
