International figures to attend Muslim unity conference in Tehran

n00120483-bSenior Iranian official announced annual Muslim Unity conference to be held in late January with more than 500 international figures attending the ceremony.

Grand Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought attended presser in the Islamic Center of England saying that the upcoming conference is aimed at pursuing the practical strategies of former events, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Ayatollah Araki said,” The most important aim of this conference is following the practical ways for realization of Muslim unity and proximity among Islamic denominations.”

According to this religious figure, interests of the Muslim nation depend upon solidarity among Muslims.

“In a bid to be able to stand against the enemies, we have to turn into a unified nation and avoid minor differences based on our major commonalities.” He noted.

Iranian scholar referred to the plots of the western countries to spread intrigue among Muslims and highlighted the importance of creating unity dialogue among Islamic nations.

Muslim elites and thinkers from 100 countries have been invited to 26th Muslim Unity conference which is to be held on January 27- 28 in the Iranian capital of Tehran.

World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought annually holds Muslim Unity conference to discuss the issues of the Muslim world and also follow ways to boost unity among different Islamic denominations.
