International Unity Conference kicks off in Tehran

The 26th international Islamic Unity Conference has kicked off in Tehran.
Some 102 Shia and Sunni dignitaries from all across the world has come together in Tehran to study the challenges faced by world Muslms and would lay out strategies needed to remove the challenges.

Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Ali Akbar Velayati, the supreme’s leader advisor Ali Akbar Velayati also to attend the opening ceremony.

Senior Iranian clerics including Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani and Nasser Makarem Shirazi have also read a statement on the outset of the meeting.
