Iran’s women volleyball team beats Indonesia

Iran defeated Indonesia in preliminary round of the 16th Asian Senior Women’s Volleyball Championship on Saturday.

Iran, which was beaten by host Chinese Taipei in its opener, defeated Indonesia 3-2 (20-25, 29-27, 26-24, 23-25,15-11) at the National Taiwan University Gym.

The event is currently underway in Taipei with 14 teams in total vying for the top honor of Asian Volleyball.

The 14 teams are divided into four pools for the preliminary round. The host Chinese Taipei, Iran and Indonesia are in Group A.

The top two from each pool will play the classification round from September 18 to 19.
