Iran acknowledges receipt of second batch of fuel for Bushehr

Iran on Wednesday acknowledged receipt of the second batch of fuel for Bushehr power plant from Russia.

Hamid Khadem Qaemi, spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran said that officials of Bushehr power plant took delivery of the second batch of fuel from Russia which amounted to 30 tons.

Qaemi said that the fuel has been envisaged for the second year operation of Bushehr power plant.

‘The Russian Federation has dispatched the fuel by three cargo flights on May 4, 8 11.’

He said that the fuel is different in kind from the 82 tons Russia delivered in 2008 for the first year operation of the power plant.
