Iran, Belarus condemn foreign meddling in Syria

Iran and Belarus condemned foreign interference in Syria, as supporting for reforms implemented by President Bashar al-Assad.

Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi who has traveled to Belarus, met with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko where the two sides stressed expansion of bilateral relations in all domains.

“We have always supported positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran and opposed any measure which is designed against independence and territorial integrity of other countries,” Alexander Lukashenko said in the meeting.

“We have a roadmap to arrange our relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran and we need to take fundamental measures to put it into practice,” he continued.

Also in a meeting with Belarusian Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich, Salehi said, “The geopolitical status of the two sides can help transfer of goods and passengers to other countries and reshape multi-lateral cooperation. The Islamic Republic of Iran will be a reliable partner and friend for Belarus.”

“We are determined to implement all previous agreements without attention to problems we may face in conducting them,” Belarusian prime minister said.
