Iran builds new military system annihilating anti-radar missiles

Commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Base Brigadier General Farzad Esmaili said the new systems of the base are capable of annihilating antiradar missiles.

“Yavar project is completely a locally-made project whose scientific and technical phases have been accomplished by experts of Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Base,” Esmaili said.

He further added the ‘Yavar’ (supporter) project was conducted in two phases, the first one for main and regional radar and the second one for missile system radar.

Using the system, the antiradar missiles which could target the radar with the help of waves sent by the radar, are diverted from their own paths and hit the intended site.

He also said ‘Nama’ (view) project could be used in operational units of the air defense base.

‘Nama’ is a locally-made system to be used in directing the battle scene which makes the commander capable of observing and monitoring the battle scene while he is in a moving car.

The commander could also control all missile and artillery systems of a region by using the project which increases his speed and precision of making decision.
