Iran commander slams ‘US-incited’ violence in Iraq

370245_Iran-CommanderA senior Iranian commander has censured the crimes perpetrated by Takfiri terrorists in Iraq, saying the US-incited violence will lead to the downfall of global hegemony.

The fresh wave of US-instigated turmoil in Iraq is a “prelude to the formation of a new resistance force” which will complement the anti-Israel chain of resistance in the region, said Commander of Iran’s Basij Force Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi on Monday.

“The US move to provoke fresh sedition in Iraq would pave the way for the ultimate defeat of [global] hegemony and the annihilation of the Zionist regime [of Israel],” added the Iranian commander.

Naqdi also stated that Takfiri militants are the “lackeys” of hegemonic powers, adding that such Takfiri groups do not believe in any religion and massacre innocent Muslims for no good reason.

“Those who attempt to push the zealous Kurdish people towards compromising with this [terrorist] trend and coerce them into remaining silent in the face of these atrocities are beating the air,” added Naqdi.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has recently voiced support for the separation of Iraq’s northern semi-autonomous Kurdistan region from the country, saying Kurds deserve independence.

Iraq is currently witnessing a spate of violence, which escalated after militants from the ISIL terrorist group took control of large swathes of the country, including key cities last month.

Iraqi forces are pushing ahead with their fight against Takfiri extremists, who have threatened to take the battle to Baghdad.
