Iran condoles with Afghanistan over landslide

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham on Saturday offered Iranˈs sincere condolences to Afghan nation and government over massive landslide in the country’s northeastern Badakhshan province.

 

IRNA reported, more than 2,000 people remain trapped under a landslide that smashed into a village in a remote mountainous area of northeastern Afghanistan on Friday.

The United Nations said 700 families lived in Ab-e-Barik and at least 120 houses were destroyed.
