Iran consul general visits Turkey’s Van

At separate meetings on Friday, Sadjad Soltanzadeh met with a number of local officials in the province, including Van’s Governor, Saray District governor, director of Kapıköy Customs, and Iranian people residing in the province.

The Iranian consul general also discussed the issues related to the descent services to Iranian visitors with officials of Van.

The border crossing on the Turkish side is named Kapıköy after the nearby village. The border crossing on the Iranian side, Razi, is 90 km to the east of city of Van.

Iranian tourists constitute a major part of Van Province visitors, particularly during the Iranian two-week holidays of Nowrouz (beginning on March 21).
