US massacring Yemeni people to keep own arms manufacturers running, advance zionist plots: Houthi

A member of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council says the United States is killing Yemeni civilians en masse in order to keep production at its major arms manufacturing corporations running, lower its rate of unemployment, pay off its debts and advance the Israeli regime’s plots in the region.

“Yemenis are getting killed on a daily basis by the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition of aggression and their allies. They wake up to the sounds of US-made bomb explosions, are subjected to toxic gases, witness the aftermath of mass killings and remember women, children and the elderly who die as a result,” al-Masirah television network quoted Mohammed Ali al-Houthi as saying in a tweet.

He added, “This attests to the fact that the US is not just a mere source of concern, but rather the main culprit behind the mass murder of Yemeni people.”

The remarks came days after the United States designated the Yemeni Houthi Ansarullah movement along with several other groups as “Entities of Particular Concern” under the so-called Frank R. Wolf International Religious Freedom Act of 2016.

Separately, Houthi said American officials had sent a secret message to Sana’a, claiming that the establishment of peace and stability in Yemen lied in US hands, rather than Saudi Arabia.

“Americans, through intermediaries, have relayed the message that there will be no peace if they do not give their consent to it, and Saudi Arabia’s satisfaction is not taken into account at all,” the senior Yemeni official wrote in a tweet published under the Arabic hashtag “US siege is the killer of Yemeni people.”

In another tweet with the same hashtag, Houthi wrote that former US Ambassador to Yemen Matthew Tueller had threatened a sharp depreciation of Yemeni riyal against major world currencies, adding that it explained why Washington was called the eliminator of the Yemeni nation.

He went on to say that US President Donald Trump’s administration decided in March to stop aid deliveries to Yemen just as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates had done earlier.

“The measure runs counter to international law. They are fully responsible for providing aid, as they have besieged and attacked the sovereign and independent state of Yemen without any justification,” Houthi pointed out.

Saudi Arabia and a number of its regional allies launched the war on Yemen in March 2015, with the goal of bringing the government of former president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi back to power and crushing the popular Ansarullah movement.

Earlier this month, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) offered the staggering death toll of 233,000 from the Saudi-led war on Yemen.

The Houthi Ansarullah movement, backed by armed forces, has been defending Yemen against the Saudi-led alliance, preventing the aggressors from fulfilling the objectives of the atrocious war.
