Iran election most democratic in world

Chairman of Iran’s Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani says the Islamic Republic held the most democratic election in the world.

According to Press TV, Rafsanjani said Saturday “If the enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran have the slightest bit of decency they must accept that Iran held the most democratic election in the world and that they cannot cast any doubt on it.”
Praising the high voter turnout in the presidential poll, Rafsanjani thanked election officials for their performance in the two simultaneous elections.
The chairman of the Expediency Council said Iranians showed that they were not influenced by negative propaganda and carried out their obligation because of their deep understanding.
Rafsanjani added that through massive participations in the election, people realized the political epic urged by the leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in the best way possible.
