Minister of Social Affairs Dr. Kinda al-Shammat on Sunday discussed with Iranian Minister for Cooperation, Labour and Social Welfare Dr. Ali Rabie the bilateral cooperation in the social, service and humanitarian fields as to strengthen Syrians stance in the face of the global terrorist war against their country.

During the meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of taking advantage of the Iranian expertise in the aforementioned fields, condemning the terrorist acts committed by the takfiri groups as to serve the US-Zionist scheme in the region.

Dr. al-Shammat said that Syria has been confronting a systematic war that targets the infrastructure, service and social institutions for three years, adding that Syria will be victorious thanks to the wisdom of its leadership, unity of its people and courage of its army.

She highlighted that “The Syrians, under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad, are facing terrorism and terrorists and at the same time are building their country”, noting that the international organizations have failed in carrying out their duties in providing aid to Syria.

Minister al-Shammat expressed gratitude to the Iranian leadership for its stances in support of the Syrian government and people.

For his part, Rabie stressed that Iran will continue its support to Syria in all fields, adding “We are fully prepared to cooperate in all fields as to serve the steadfastness of the Syrians and alleviate their suffering from the global war waged against them.”

He said that Syria, with the wisdom of its leader and sacrifices of its people, will be victorious and will emerge from the crisis stronger.

Minister al-Shammat also met Head of the Iranian-Syrian Economic Developmet Relations, Rustom Qasimi, and discussed the Syrian-Iranian economic relations and means of bolstering them, especially in light of the unjust sanctions imposed on Syria
