Iran Hails Gaza Victory, Vows Support to Palestinian Resistance

Iranian defense minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi stressed Thursday that the victory of Palestinians over “Israel”, following an eight-day-long bloody war on the strip, has humiliated the United States and Europe.

“Besides severe frustration of the leaders of the usurping Zionist entity, the victory of the people of Gaza also brought about the mortification of the US and Europe’s leaders, who, through their overt and covert instances of support and silence, were the encouragers and supporters of the Zionist regime’s war crimes,” Vahidi stated.

In parallel, he clarified that “a main achievement of the Palestinian fighters was that “Israel’s” Iron Dome missile system collapsed under their crushing and effective rocket response.”
“This victory showed the fakeness of this regime to the people of the region and the world,” the Iranian top military official confirmed.
Vahidi further noted that the Gazans’ courage and perseverance prompted division among “Israeli” officials as to the continuation of the war.

For his part, the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili affirmed that “Israel’s” acceptance of a truce in Gaza shows it is increasingly weakening.
He also congratulated the Palestinians on the truce, saying: “It shows the resistance is getting stronger on a daily basis.”

In his statement on Thursday, Jalili urged the resistance groups “to vigorously pursue the demands of the people with unity and by reliance on resistance as the only way to liberate Palestine.”
“The Islamic Republic of Iran will continue to support the Palestinian resistance with honor and solidity as it did in the past and warns the United States and other Western allies of the Zionist entity against supporting the criminals acts of this regime,” he noted.

Meanwhile, Jalili called the Muslim countries to play their role in liberating al-Quds by taking effective measures.
