Iran has mastered all aspects of nuclear technology

A senior Iranian lawmaker says it is in the West’s own interest to reach a deal with Iran over the Islamic Republic’s nuclear energy program because the peaceful nuclear activities of the country will never stop.

According to IRIB, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, the chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of Iran’s Majlis, on Friday said “Practically, Iran has mastered all aspects of this science (nuclear technology) and it is to the benefit of the West to reach an agreement with Iran in that respect because Iran’s train of peaceful nuclear activities will never stop, and the US and the Western countries have comprehended this fact very well.”
He added “Given the West’s economic turmoil and their losses as a result of imposing sanctions on Iran as well as the failure of the bans to affect our nuclear activities, it seems the whole situation has led them (Western governments) to conclude that understanding is more advantageous than the perpetuation of the policy of confrontation with the Islamic Republic.”
The Iranian legislator noted that the ground has been prepared for easing the sanctions against Iran, and reaffirmed Tehran’s determination in nuclear talks if the other side is serious as well.
Boroujerdi described the ongoing nuclear talks as a litmus test for the US and Western countries to prove their sincerity.
