Iran hopeful tranquility restored in Syria

IMAGE634667556000175375The Islamic Republic of Iran Minister of Foreign Affairs has expressed his hope for tranquility to be restored in Syria through constructive cooperation by countries in the region.
Ali Akbar Salehi was visiting Faisal Meqdad, Syrian deputy-foreign minister for bilateral talks and trading remarks on Syrian developments. Syrian deputy-foreign minister expressed his gratitude for Islamic Republic of Iran’s good offices including the 6-Point Plan to solve Syrian crisis and believed it as Islamic Republic’s goodwill for peace and stability in the region and especially in Muslim countries in the region.

Salehi emphasized upon Islamic Republics’ unswerving position on supporting Syrian government and people and said that deciding on the Syria’s future is a duty for Syrian people, and that Islamic Republic has always opposed foreign intervention in Syria.
