Iran is a safe heaven for all Muslims: Lebanese cleric

Deputy Head of the Supreme Council for Lebanese Shia Muslims Sheikh Abdel Amir Qabalan said that in the situation which Islamic umma is facing, Islamic Republic of Iran is a safe heaven for all Muslims and nations of the region.

He made the remarks in a meeting with Iran’s Head of Strategic Council on Foreign Relations Kamal Kharrazi here on Thursday.
Sheikh Qabalan said that Iran played a basic and major role in support for Lebanese nation and the resistance movement in confrontation with the Zionist and Takfiri enemies.
He added that the late Imam Khomeini turned Islam to a reviver and liberator of nations, while enemies called religion as ‘opium of nations’.
He also praised Iran’s support for Palestinian resistance and nation and added, ‘Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei is a flag-bearer of truth and we stand with him.’
Referring to the significant role of Islamic resistance in defending the whole Lebanon and Lebanese, Kharrazi said relations between Iran and Lebanon is excellent and will remain excellent.
He expressed hope that all Lebanese from different tribes and religions can remove all problems of the country and establish stability, tranquility and full security in Lebanon by cooperation and understanding.
He applauded the prominent role of Sheikh Qabalan in Lebanon and underlined that the resistance is an honor for all freedom-lover humans.
