Iran is invincible, IRGC commander says

A senior military commander says Iran is “invincible” and the country’s enemies have a wrong conception about the Islamic Republic.

“Unlike the wrong conception of the enemies, Iran is strong and invincible,” said Brig. Gen. Hussein Salami, the deputy commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps.

“The enemy is trying to depict Iran as an inefficient country, and we should prove that just the opposite is true,” the Mehr News Agency quoted Salami as saying.

He noted that Iran was able to maintain its independence during the 1980-1988 war with Iraq and did not fear the “the empires of the time”, which created a wave of freedom-seeking in the Muslim world.
