Iran keen on better relations with world on mutual respect: President

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that Iran is committed to develop relations with the world based on mutual respect.

Speaking to a gathering of people, the President said on Wednesday that no country can achieve its goals in isolation.

In the meantime, President Rouhani underlined the importance of Iranian Chabahar Port as a transit and trade route which connects Iran to the international waters as well as the Central Asian nations.

He said that development of Chabahar Port can be to the benefit of economy of the region.

He said that Chabahar port serves to enhance the level of trade between Iran and regional countries.

The Chabahar Port lies in over 17 km lands and is situated in southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchestan of Iran.

President Rouhani arrived in Sistan-Baluchestan province on Tuesday for a two-day visit. He has, so far, visited Khuzestan and Hormuzgan provinces both in south of the country.
