Iran Launches Production Lines of Advanced Electro-Optical Gears

Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami inaugurated the production lines of several state-of-the-art electro-optical military gears designed and manufactured in the country.

Brigadier General Hatami attended a ceremony in the southern city of Shiraz on Thursday, to inaugurate the production lines of the advanced military equipment manufactured by Shiraz Electronic Industries Organization, a firm affiliated to the defense ministry’s Iran Electronics Industries.

Speaking at the ceremony, the defense minister hailed the achievements of experts at the Iran Electronics Industries as a clear example of the realization of the phrase “We Can” and in line with the Resistance Economy.

“Today, thank God, our experts have been able to indigenize defense industries, turn sanctions and threats into opportunities, and achieve so much progress that in addition to equipping the country’s Armed Forces in all areas, they export their products to a number of technology-rich countries,” he said.

Iranian military experts and technicians have in recent years made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the arms sphere.

Iranian officials have repeatedly underscored that the country will not hesitate to strengthen its military capabilities, including its missile power, which are entirely meant for defense, and that Iran’s defense capabilities will be never subject to negotiations.

Back in February 2018, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei called for efforts to maintain and boost Iran’s defense capabilities, hitting back at the enemies for disputing the country’s missile program.

“Without a moment of hesitation, the country must move to acquire whatever is necessary for defense, even if the whole world is opposed to it,” Ayatollah Khamenei said on February 18.
