‘Iran mastered enrichment technology’

Head of Iran Atomic Energy Organization (IAEO) says the country has completely mastered uranium enrichment technology and is now able to use it for the benefit of other countries.

“Those who do not want the Islamic Iran to grow impose sanctions on the country’s scientific community, but sanctions have been turned into an opportunities thus far and the country has achieved self-sufficiency in various fields,” Fereydoun Abbasi said on Tuesday.

At the opening ceremony of the Fifth National Conference of Young Elites, Abbasi said some of Iran’s achievements were made in the nuclear industry.

He said the launch of the Bushehr Power Plant is another one of Iran’s achievements, adding that Iranian experts are now studying reactor equipment and looking to indigenize the industry, IRNA reported.

“A decade before victory of the Islamic Revolution, the country’s industrial growth depended on foreign advisors in all areas, but following the victory of the Revolution the elite and academics replaced …foreign advisors,” he added..

The two-day National Conference of Young Elites opened at Tehran’s OIC Summit Conference Hall on Tuesday.
