923058_origThe head of C130 Overhaul of Mehr Abad 1st Airbase has said that all electronic parts of overtake and hydraulic lift systems are repaired domestically, and that Iran has the upper hand in C130 overhaul.
Air Force Captain Hussein Ganjifard added that overhauling was first begun with good offices by Mansour Sattari in Mashhad in 1989. “After 11years of overhaul in Mashhad, the main center of Air Force fighter overhaul was transferred to Tehran,” he said, “grounded and out-of-service planes are now repaired and delivered to Air Force,” he added.

Ganjifard also said that among 27 overhauled planes, 6 had been grounded, which had qualified for necessary flight standards. “All parts of planes are manufactured inside the country, which is indication that sanctions by the western countries have not affected the air industry,” he asserted.

Ganjifard believed that sanctions as of no harm to Iran’s Air Force, “if sanctions worked, no single plane would fly over the country,” he said. He pointed to the last series of C130 planes repair and test flight and their delivery to Air Force convoy.
