Iran Minister: Last year economy promises hope

 

Iranian Economy Minister Ali Tayebnia wrote a letter to Iran’s Leader and recounted the success garnered by the government to practice the policies of Resistance Economy.

“Labeling this new year of 1396 as the year of ‘Resistance Economy, Production and Employment’, after heightening the importance of economy in the year labels of the last year depicts the significance and priority of economy and resolving economic problems according to a long-run road map which means principal policies of ‘Resistance Economy’,” reads the opening of the letter addressing Iran’s Leader composed by Iranian Economy Minister Ali Tayebnia.

The Iranian minister who opens the letter with congratulating new Iranian year of 1396 to the Leader and people of Iran gives an account of Iran’s economy and the major measures to improve it in the last year of 1395.

Mr. Tayebnia holds that good steps have been taken in the course of the last year and enlists measures to correct custom collecting and tax collecting, to lower the inflation rate to a one-digit number, to have an unprecedented growth in GDP, to meet the importing needs out of the non-oil incomes of the country, to have positive balance of trade accounting the non-oil export, to expand and deepen the capital market, and to tap more of joint hydro-carbon resources. The chief of Iran’s economy minister attributes all the success to the compliance of all efforts to the principles of Resistance Economy.

He also says that however growth in some areas was satisfactory, there are areas lagging behind due to the underperformance in the past which need more to be done to meet the expectations of the nation.

Tayebnia offers thanks to Iran’s President Rouhani, VP Jahangiri, and all officials in the current administration who have been diligently cooperating to ensure the implementation of Leader’s Resistance Economy policies.
