Iran MP condemns EP anti-Iran resolution

The senior Iranian lawmaker, Kazem Jalali, has strongly condemned the European Parliament’s anti-Iran resolution.

According to IRIB World Service, the Iranian legislator, in a meeting in Tehran on Sunday, with the Chairman of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs, Elmar Brok, and the member of German Bundestag Committee on Foreign Affairs, Roderich Kiesewetter, noted despite the growing relations of Iran Majlis with the European Parliament, and while the new government has been elected in Iran and nuclear talks are in highly appropriate conditions; a resolution was issued that completely changed the atmosphere.

The previous members of the European Parliament had issued an anti-Iran statement, last April.

The Iranian MP went on to point out that the European Parliament should listen to the remarks of the Iranian nation and statesmen and the true representatives of the people of Iran.

Jalali reiterated that the Islamic Republic of Iran expects the European Parliament to listen to the true voice of the Iranian nation; because problems can be solved with prudence and talks.

He also reminded that parliamentary talks between Islamic Republic of Iran and Europe can set the stage for a larger agreement in the future. But, the precondition to this agreement is to control radicals, especially in the European Parliament.
