Iran MP Warns against Repercussions of Supporting Syria Extremists for Entire World

An Iranian parliamentarian voiced deep concern over the spread of terrorism and extremism from Syria to the other world countries, and called for an immediate halt to the supply of backups and weapons to armed groups in the crisis-hit country.

According to FNA, member of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Ahmad Shohani warned the West against extending support for extremist and terrorist groups in Syria and noted that western states could become the next targets of extremist militants.
Around 2,000 Europeans are thought to be fighting in Syria, including at least 200 known to the British security services.
It is feared that fighters returning to the UK will seek to radicalize young men in particular to launch terror attacks at home and abroad.
