Iran non-oil exports on rise despite sanctions

6547c185cf9b29ccfe009908dc07813f_LIran’s Minister of Economy and Finance said foreign trades of Iran with ECO member states have been much more than other countries following the imposition of illegal sanctions on the country.

According to IRNA, addressing the convention of heads of tax organizations of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member states, Shamseddin Hosseini said in Tehran on Monday that Iran has exported about 7,680,000 tons of non-oil exports with the worth of 5 billion dollars to the ECO member states.
He said we’ve imported almost 4 billion dollars from these countries.
Talking about the level of cooperation after the sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic, the Iranian minister said our non-oil exports to the ECO member states have experienced a 17 percent increase in tonnage and 32 percent in the value in the first 8 months of the past year compared with the same period in the previous year.
Hosseini added that Iran has concluded agreement on cancellation of double taxation with eight ECO member countries, and the efforts are underway in this regard with another ECO member.
The first such gathering has started its work in Tehran today.
