‘Iran not to remain committed to JCPOA if talks with EU fail’

Iran’s representative to IAEA said about Yesterday’s UN nuclear watchdog report on Iran that it could be the last IAEA report if Europe does not guarantee Iran’s demands.

Yesterday afternoon, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) once again confirmed that Iran is abiding by its commitments in 2015 nuclear deal with the world powers despite US Illegal withdrawal from it.

Reza Najafi, Iran’s Ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said about the report that if ongoing talks with European parties do not guarantee Iran’s expectations of continued implementation of the JCPOA, this report will be the last report that the IAEA Director General will issue.

Najafi added that the new report, which is the 11th report since the nuclear deal known as the JCPOA came into force and the 10th quarterly report to the Board of Governors, reaffirmed that Iran’s nuclear activities are in full compliance with the deal.

Pointing out that the latest IAEA report is much like previous ones, Najafi said that the US withdrawal from the deal on May 8, 2018 is stipulated on the first page of it.
