Iran one of safest states for petchem investment: Jahangiri

Iranian First Vice President Es’haq Jahangiri says Iran is “one of the safest” countries for petrochemical investment.

According to Press TV, Jahangiri made the remarks during the 11th international Iran Petrochemical Forum (IPF) in Tehran on Saturday.

Jahangiri noted, “The Islamic Republic of Iran is one of the safest countries for petrochemical investment in the region, adding, “We assure the investors that the Iranian government will support both domestic and foreign private sectors. Sustainable development is the main objective of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, who was also present at the forum, said Iran is to raise its petrochemical output.

the Iranian oil minister also said, “After launching the new phases of South Pars gas field, daily production capacity of gas condensate and gas liquids will rise to 650,000 barrels per day (bpd) and daily production of LPG (liquefied petroleum gas ) and ethane will increase to 6.7 million tons and four million tons, respectively.”
