Iran President congratulates election of Pak counterpart

“I congratulate Your Excellency on election as new president of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan,” the message by President Rouhani read.

“I am sure that mutual relations will further develop in the wake of resolve of the two countries’ political officials,” he said.

The Islamic Republic of Iran declares its readiness for promoting ties and cooperation with Pakistan, he said.

Rouhani also expressed hope that during the tenure of the newly-elected president mutual cooperation will reach high levels.
