Iran ranks first in RoboCup Rescue Simulation league competitions

Iranian Mechatronics Research Laboratory (MRL) of Islamic Azad University of Qazvin wins the tittle of RoboCup Rescue Simulation league competitions.

Several teams from the US, Portugal, Germany, Japan, China, Thailand, Egypt, Brazil, Austria, Holland and Italy have taken part in the competition.

Also Portuguese and German teams managed to come second and third in the competitions.

The purpose of the RoboCup Rescue Simulation league is twofold. First, it aims to develop simulators that form the infrastructure of the simulation system and emulate realistic phenomena predominant in disasters. Second, it aims to develop intelligent agents and robots that are given the capabilities of the main actors in a disaster response scenario.

Robotic footballers from have taken part in the Robo Cup in Mexico City.

The week-long tournament at the International Exhibition and Convention Centre at the World Trade Centre in Mexico started on Monday.
