Iran ready to invest in huge projects in Egypt

Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said on Wednesday that the 5o member Egyptian delegation now visiting Iran heralds restoration of diplomatic relations between Tehran and Cairo.

Speaking to reporters in presence of the Egyptian delegation, he said the current visit of Egyptian intellectuals, businessmen and academicians would certainly help prepare the grounds for re-establishment and upgrading of ties between the two countries.

These guests will leave Tehran with good memory which would be effective in reestablishing Iran-Egypt diplomatic ties, Salehi said.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to resume ties with Egypt as soon as possible, he said.

Iran is ready to invest in huge projects in Egypt through establishment of joint companies, he said.
