Prisoner Yehya Skeif in “Israeli” Jails: 35 Years of Resistance

skef-Committee of Imprisoned and Liberated Representatives held the 35th anniversary of the prisoner Yehya Skeif, detained in the Zionist entity.

In this anniversary, a solidarity meeting took place for the Palestinian and Arab detainees in “Israeli” jails.
The ceremony was attended by former Lebanese MPs Zaher al-Khatib and Mahmoud Tabou, representative of the Iranian embassy to Lebanon Masaad Saberi, representatives of Lebanese parties and Palestinian factions, Skeif’s family and friends, a delegation of the International Campaign for Release of Georges Abdullah, as well as a number of liberated prisoners.

Jamal Skeif, the detainee’s brother, delivered a speech at the ceremony, speaking of Yehya’s awareness of the Zionist danger on our nation, since the operation that Yehya was involved in came as a direct retaliation on “Israel’s” assaults.
“The nation’s free and honorable men support the resistance and its leader until Palestine is liberated,” he added.

For his part, head of the political relations in the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Abu Jaber stated, “The [“Israeli”] occupation detains 6000 prisoners in Palestine, among which 168 are women.”
“No one must bid but on Palestinian unity and acknowledge that no victory can be achieved without it,” he mentioned.

Moreover, member of Hizbullah’s political bureau, Mahmoud Koumati stressed, “Yehya Skeif’s case is considered a mark of shame on so-called human rights organizations, just like Georges Abdullah’s case in a country where liberty and human rights slogans rose.”
“Resistance is a civilized project and the Lebanese inevitable necessity to face the enemy. Yehya and Georges’ causes are a message to all Lebanese that all of Lebanon is resistant,” he highlighted.
“We will not leave our prisoners in “Israeli” jails and we will liberate Yehya sooner or later,” he concluded.

Finally, head of detainees’ department in the Amal Movement, former detainee Abbas Qabalan called on the government to work hard on knowing the fate of Yehya, underscoring, “What did you do for Yehya, Mohammad Farran, Abdullah Alyan, and hundreds of others missing in which we know “Israel” is the culprit?”
