Iran, Singapore discuss cultural, parliamentary cooperation

Visiting Singaporean Parliament Speaker Halimah Yacob conferred on Saturday with Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani on expansion of parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.

According to IRNA, in this meeting, the two sides underlined the significant role of parliaments as well as parliamentary friendship groups in broadening commercial and cultural activities between the two countries.

Referring to friendly relations between Iran and Singapore, Larijani said the two countries enjoy high capabilities in various fields which should be taken into consideration.

The Singaporean parliament speaker for her part, expressed satisfaction with her visit to Tehran, stating the Singaporean Parliament is determined to expand all-out relations and cooperation with Iran.
