Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokeswoman has severely criticized Turkish army’s violating Iraqi borders in chasing of terrorists.

Marzieh Afkham said on Wednesday that any violation of territorial integrity and sovereignty of countries in the region would actually add to the complexity of the situation, reacting to recent Turkish army’s trespassing Iraqi borders in chase of PKK terrorists; “the Islamic Republic of Iran believes that no justification would seem plausible in violation of borders of other countries, and would prepare the grounds for foreign countries to secure their footprints deeper in the Middle East,” Afkham emphasized.

She also condemned terrorist attack which killed a number of civilians and armed forces in Turkey and offered condolences to the bereaved families of the victims and Turkish government. Afkham concluded her remarks with expressing hope that Turkey and other engaged parties would start peace negotiations soon in the future.
