Iran stresses increase in OIC help for Palestinians

Iran’s Foreign Ministry Director General for Political and International Affairs, Eshagh Ale-Habib, has urged double efforts of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in the way of materialization of ideals of Palestinian people.

According to IRIB, addressing a conference in support of Palestine, which was held in Baku, Azerbaijan, he said that unfortunately a few countries put forth the catastrophes of Palestinians as limited as financial problems.
Ale-Habib considered problems of the Palestinian people a priority for the Islamic Republic since the very beginning day after the victory of the Islamic Revolution and said that Iran will spare no efforts to help remove or at least reduce the pains of Palestinians, whether financially or spiritually.
The Iranian official said Tehran observed commitments within the framework of Holy Quds Fund at the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM)’s special committee in this regard.
The OIC’s meeting, during which the participants emphasized allocation of a 500-million dollar financial help to Palestine for implementation of some 12 development plans, ended its work in Baku on Tuesday.
