Iran to construct large Persian Gulf Bridge

Seven foreign and domestic firms participated in the construction bid of the large Persian Gulf Bridge.

The Bridge is due to connect the Persian Gulf Island Qeshm and Bandar Abbas city, southern Iran with the length of 1500 nautical miles in order to facilitate goods transportation between the two areas.

Managing Director of Qeshm Free Trade Zone Sayyed Reza Mousavi said the discount sale files of the bridge will present to the public until Sep 21, 2010 adding,” The winner of the bid will specify till Jan 21, 2011 and it will declare the time of construction of the bridge.”

Mousavi said that 650 million euros are needed for the construction of the bridge adding,” The government will provide 15 percent financial resources of the project.”
