Iran to equip IRGC Navy with advanced cruise missiles

The director of Iran’s aerospace technology development center has announced that the country will equip the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Navy (IRGC) with advanced cruise missiles with the range of more than 300 kilometers.

Seyyed Mahdi Farahi told FNA, new defensive cruise-class, special and highly advanced capabilities and with different ranges will be handed over the IRGC Navy in the near future.
Land-to-sea and surface-to-surface cruise missiles would upgrade the navy’s might in deterring different kinds of threats.
The newly-designed missiles can be fired from a cruising boat at a high speed of 30 knots (60 km/h).
