Iran to host gathering on Islamic Awakening

The first gathering to take place under the banner the Islamic Awakening and the professors of the universities of the Muslim world is scheduled to be held in Tehran later in the month.

The commission on the Islamic Awakening and change in power relations in the contemporary world was held in Tehran to study the subjects determined by the meeting’s secretariat.

A number of Muslim professors presented their articles and speeches during the commission’s assembly. In addition, a number of participants voiced their views on the issues, which were raised.

On the whole, the views, presented during the assembly, placed emphasis on the following points among other things:

The unjust power relations in the contemporary world are one of the most important obstacles in the way of [the realization of] global peace and justice.

The Islamic Awakening movement rejects dictatorship inside countries and hegemonic policies on the international level and believes that global peace and justice can only be achieved by return to divine teachings and respect for the role of the people and human dignity.

The remarkable breakthroughs made by Muslims in different parts of the Muslim world have practically posed basic challenges to the unjust global power structure. The Islamic Ummah (Nation) should seize this opportunity to promote the international status of the Islamic societies.

The issue of Palestine due to its being the Muslim world’s most essential issue has become a pillar of the Islamic Awakening movement. Accordingly, the movement until the restoration of the rights of the down-trodden people of Palestine and [the establishment of] their rule over the entire Occupied Palestinian Territories from land to sea will continue supporting the resistance.

There is an all-out campaign by the global hegemonic powers to counter the effects of the Islamic Awakening through inciting Islamophobia via media outlets. Muslims should employ the media to reverse the West’s anti-Islam scenario and promote the goals of the Islamic Awakening.
