‘Iran to legally pursue terrorist attack on Iranians in Iraq’

The Iranian Deputy Interior Minister, Ali Abdullahi, has emphasized on the legal pursuance of the terrorist attack staged against the Iranian personnel of the gas-supply company in Iraq.

According to IRIB World Service, citing ISNA, the Iranian deputy interior minister referred to the responsibility of the Foreign Ministry to legally pursue the terrorist attack on Iranian personnel of gas supply company in Iraq, while adding that Iran’s Interior Ministry will also carry out the necessary consultations with Iraq within this framework.

A group of Iranian personnel working on the project for the natural gas transference from Naftshahr to Baghdad, were targeted by a terrorist outfit in the Iraqi Province of Diala on Friday.

In this terrorist operation, at least 16 Iranian engineers and workers, and four Iraqi personnel attained martyrdom. Also five other Iranians and two other Iraqis suffered injuries in this attack.
