Iran to offer incentives to investors

Iran is offering new incentives to foreign investors with fewer regulatory strings attached to its financial markets.

The head of Securities and Exchange Organization of Iran told Press TV on Sunday that foreign investors will be exempt from paying tax and will no longer be subjected to excessive regulations.

The official, Ali Saleh Abadi, further pointed out that there would be fewer regulatory procedures with regards to foreign investments. “The organization has reduced the bureaucratic channels to a great extent. It also issues investment permits for foreign nationals in less than seven days.”

According to Saleh Abadi, foreign investment in Iran’s stock market is more lucrative than those in other regional states. This is because the global financial downturn has had little impact on the Islamic Republic’s financial market.

The official also emphasized that Iran’s financial market is rapidly expanding and there are great prospects for additional development and growth.
