Iran to pursue scientist-killings case

An advisor to Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei says Iran has the right to follow up on the case of the assassination of its scientists.

“Iran has the right to pursue [the case of] the assassination of its scientists in international circles,” Ali-Akbar Velayati told Mehr News Agency.

He touched upon conclusive evidence suggesting that the Israeli spy agency Mossad was involved in the assassinations and said Iran will pursue the case with resolve.

The Leader’s advisor pointed to the tribunal looking into the assassination of former Lebanese prime minister Rafik Hariri and said, ”This court is a political ploy aimed at harming [the Lebanese] resistance.”

“As they (Zionists) failed to defeat [the Lebanese Resistance Movement] Hezbollah and [the Palestinian resistance movement] Hamas on the military front, they are now trying to harm the position of Hezbollah and the resistance (Hamas) on the security front,” Velayati added.

He said The Hague has turned into a “political tool” in the hands of super powers which are taking advantage of the UN and its affiliated bodies.

Velayati urged resistance movements in Lebanon and occupied Palestine as well as in other parts of the Middle East to unite against Israeli schemes aimed at harming them.
