Iran to send aid cargo to Gaza Strip

The Islamic Republic of Iran’s Red Crescent has decided to send two ships and one plane carrying humanitarian aid as well as relief workers to Gaza Strip, Red Crescent director Abdolrauf Adibzadeh told IRIB.

Iran’s Red Crescent is to rent two ships one of them will carry humanitarian aid such as food and medicine as well as 70 relief workers, nurses and doctors, he added.

The ship will be sent to the Gaza Strip by the end of this week in coordination of Turkey government, he continued.

“Iran is also preparing to dispatch a navy hospital ship for the people of Gaza, which will have onboard doctors, nurses and all the medical equipment required for emergency surgeries and procedures,” Adibzadeh further explained.

A plane with 30 tons of drugs and medical equipments will also be sent to the Gaza in coordination of Egyptian Red Crescent.
