Iran to Unveil New Military Missile Achievements

Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi revelaed Saturday that his country will unveil indigenous ballistic and cruise missiles as well as other new military achievements by the next five months.

“New Iranian ballistic and cruise missiles will be unveiled in the first six months of the current [Iranian] year [before mid-September],” said Vahidi.

The Iranian defense minister noted that the new cruise missile has a longer range compared with the previous versions.

He noted that Iran will also unveil new bombs during the period.

Touching on Iran’s new naval achievements before mid-September, Vahidi pointed out that launching a new submarine and a missile-launching WIG craft [Wing in Ground craft] are on the agenda of Iran’s Navy.
“In the air defense, Iran plans to showcase new helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles during the period,” Vahidi said.

For his part, Iranian Deputy Defense Minister for Coordination General Nasrallah Ezzati said the latest products of the Iranian defense industries will be unveiled in the first half of the current Iranian year.
“A major part of these achievements pertain to the aerospace, missile and space fields and they will be displayed soon,” Ezzati added.
During the Army Day parade on April 18, Iran unveiled a number of indigenous military achievements, including a stealth unmanned aerial vehicle, two missile systems, and a mobile electronic interception system.
