Iran-Tunisia expand educational, training cooperation

Deputy Education Minister in International Affairs Ali Asghar Yazdani and Tunisian Minister of Education Abdellatif Abid underlined expansion of educational and training cooperation between the two countries.

In a meeting on the sidelines of 11th joint cooperation commission here, the Tunisian minister called for dispatching Tunisian teachers to Iran’s educational and scientific centers or dispatching Iranian professional teachers to Tunisia to hold workshops here.

Yazdani, conveyed greetings of Iran’s Education Minister Hamid Reza Babaei to his Tunisian counterpart and felicitated victory of Tunisian revolution and presented a report on Iran’s Education Ministry activities in different fields.

The Tunisian minister underlined needs of his country’s educational system in different sectors and called for using Iran’s experiences in this field.

Iran and Tunisia Education Ministries have a Memorandum of Understanding which was signed by Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mehdi Ghazanfari and Tunisian Minister of Commerce and Handicrafts Bashir Zaafouri who are heads of joint cooperation commission.

The MoU is about manpower training, compiling teaching texts, construction of schools and transferring experiences in the fields of teaching and training.

The 11th joint cooperation commission meeting wrapped up its work on Thursday by signing eight documents.
