Iran urges D8 to compile atlas of capabilities

Ali Akbar Mehrabian, Minister of Industry and Mines of the Islamic Republic of Iran urged for establishment of a working group to compile an Atlas of capabilities and needs of the member states of eight Developing countries (D8).

Addressing the meeting of Industrial experts of the D8 member states, Mehrabian said harmonizing the customs rules for more economic cooperation, establishment of joint research centers in modern technologies and promotion of practical researches for transfer of technical sciences are among our priorities.

He also suggested setting up joint Industrial centers and markets and expand trades among D8 member states.

Creation of a joint brand, joint production of cars for all Islamic countries, introductin of private sector of all members and facilitation of money and banking relations were among other suggestions of the IRI’s Minister of Industry and Mines in the meeting.
