Iran will never stop backing Syria

Iran’s Minister of Labor, Cooperatives and Welfare Ali Rabiei says the Islamic Republic will never bow to pressure and stop supporting Syria.

According to Press TV, Rabiei said on the sidelines of a meeting with his Syrian counterpart in Tehran on Sunday “Regional peace is more important to us than anything else and the current visit by Syria’s Minister of Social Affairs Kinda al-Shammat to Iran … indicates that Iran will not yield to pressure to provide Syria with humanitarian and moral aid and to offer psychological help.”
He added “Terrorism is a serious issue in the region and in Syria.”
He emphasized that Iran’s support for Syria under the current circumstances is a “sign of regional stability and peace.”
Rabiei stated that undemocratic changes cannot be made in the region through international pressure.
Syria has been gripped by deadly crisis since 2011.
