Iran will stand up to US excessive demands: Vice speaker

Vice Speaker Mohammad Hassan Abutorabifard said on Tuesday that the Iranian nation and government will withstand the US excessive demands and bullying of the western governments.

Abutorabifard made the remarks in a meeting with Polish Senate Speaker Jan van der Leek.

Abutorabifard referred to Iran-Group 5+1 nuclear talks, saying that Iran has welcomed negotiations in line with national interests and mutual respect.

Expressing pleasure with the growing trend of bilateral ties, he noted that the two countries boast numerous capacities in the political, economic and cultural fields which should be used for promoting bilateral ties.

Stressing the need for consolidating communications in regional and international fields, Abutorabifard said that exchanging parliamentary delegations will help develop reciprocal understanding about both sides’ nations.

Van der Leek, for his part, described Iran as a significant country in the region, saying that both countries should seize existing economic opportunities.

Hoping that Iran-Group 5+1 nuclear talks will be held successfully, he said that continuation of nuclear negotiations is indicative o Iranian officials’ logical policies.

The Polish official also called for promoting cultural exchanges between the two countries’ universities.
