Iran would soon unveil Jamaran 2 destroyer

Iran’s Army Navy Commander has said next the Navy will have a leading role in the free waters of the world, with focus on improvement capabilities.
Rear Admiral Habiballah Sayyari stressed that the Navy will achieve all its stated goals for the year. “Thanks God, we have achieved whatever we said such as organizing, equipping the organizations, setting up exercises, increasing the level of science and education, and we did not lag in any of our stated programs,” he added.

He asserted that “next year with a focus on improving the combat capabilities and defending the interest of our shore lines, we will have a leading role and extensive presence in the free waters of the world.”

Commander of the Navy said “next year we will unveil the “Jamaran 2” now under development process in the port city of Bandar Abbas, we would proudly equip it with more advance technology than ‘Jamaran 1’ as the Leader has emphasized.”

He reiterated also that “operation of the destroyers with advanced equipments and definitely higher capabilities would have increased our naval powers.”
