Iranian Armenians to massively take part in World Quds Day rallies

Majlis deputy representing Armenians in north Iran Georg Wartan said on Sunday that Iranian Armenians will join other compatriots in World Quds Day rallies on Friday, August 26, marking the last Friday of the fasting month of Ramadhan.
Wartan said that World Quds Day rallies have become part of Iran’s culture.

He said it’s natural for the Islamic Republic to sympathize with the Palestinian people as part of its aspiration to help the oppressed of the world.

The founder of the Islamic Revolution, the late Imam Khomeini, designated the last Friday of the month of Ramadan as the World Quds Day, terming this day as the “day for revival of Islam and the day when Muslims will liberate Palestine.
