Iranian Army Commander: Ground Forces Drills Due in Few Weeks

“With preliminary measures completed, the military drill will most probably take place in western Iran,” said Deputy Commander of Iranian Army Ground Force Brigadier General Kiumars Heidari on the sidelines of an Army psychology conference on Wednesday.

Iranian people should know that the Army will make any efforts to serve people and maintain security, said the general.

“Annually close to 120,000 conscripts from all educational levels are trained by the Army,” he said.

At the end of every annual training stage, units should take part in a military drill, he added; IRNA reported.
